at Christmas time.

i've been listening to this Christmas song over and over again but never really paid attention to the lyrics. Its called 'Do They Know Its Christmas'. I dont know who the original singer is but the Glee cast did a cover of this song and it was superb! just look at the lyrics.

Its Christmas time,
there's no need to be afraid
At Christmas time,
we let in light and banish the shade
And in our world of plenty
we can spread smile of joy
throw your arms around the world
at Christmas time

But say a prayer
pray for the other ones
At Christmas time its hard
but when you're having fun.
there's a world outside your window
and its a world of dread and fear
Where the only water flowing is
the bitter sting of tears
Where the Christmas bells that are ringing
are the clanging chimes of doom
Well, tonight thank God its them instead of you.

And there wont be snow in Africa this Christmas time,
The greatest gift they'll ever get this year is life
where nothing ever grows,
no rain or rivers flow
Do they know its Christmas time at all?

Here's to you,
raise a glass for everyone
here's to them
underneath that burning sun
Do they know its Christmas time at all?

Feed the world
Let them know its Christmas time again,
Feed the world,
Let them know its Christmas time again.

the lyrics is really nice right? we're all so happy during Christmas time but what about those people suffering here and there around the world? what do we do for them to feel the joy of Christmas like we do? or give them some happiness in their life for that one moment at least? something to reflect on this Advent.

enjoy! :)
